Who are we?

Chhori is a non-profit organization. The organization is led by women only and is functioning on a national level. Chhori means “daughter” in Nepali, a name chosen because the mission of Chhori is to improve the conditions in Nepal so no one gets discriminated just because of their gender.

Some of the fields Chhori works in are: Prevention from trafficking, unsafe migration, sexual exploitation, sexual abuse, menstrual discrimination, protection and empowerment for the victim and survivors, advocacy, coordination and networking. Chhori comprises of 35 women member and its executive board is governed by women. Since the organization is focused on girls and women we find it appropriate that the organisation is also led by women. Chhori has active projects in four districts of Nepal: Nuwakot, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur and Kathmandu. Alongside, we run different capacity building programs and awareness campaigns covering the entire nation.
