🌍 Who We Support

At Chhori, we work with individuals and communities who are affected by or at risk of gender-based discrimination, exploitation, and violence. Our approach is guided by principles of dignity, confidentiality, and human rights.

Our primary focus groups include:

1. Women, girls, and their children who have experienced exploitation

We provide support to individuals who have been affected by various forms of exploitation, including trafficking, abuse, and unsafe migration. Our work prioritizes protection, recovery, and long-term empowerment, always ensuring confidentiality and respect for each individual’s story.

2. Women, girls, and their children who are at risk of exploitation

Prevention is a key part of our mission. We work with communities where social, economic, or structural conditions increase vulnerability. Through education, awareness, and capacity-building, we aim to reduce risks and strengthen resilience before harm occurs.

3. Women working in adult entertainment and informal sectors

We engage with women working in environments where there may be increased exposure to exploitation or limited access to protection. Our role is not to judge, but to provide access to information, support services, and pathways to safer and more secure livelihoods, always respecting individual choices and rights.

🤝 Our Commitment

Across all our work, we are committed to:

  • Upholding human rights and dignity
  • Ensuring confidentiality and safeguarding
  • Using non-stigmatizing and respectful language
  • Supporting individuals without discrimination
  • Creating safe spaces for recovery, empowerment, and opportunity

🌱 Why This Matters

Behind every number is a human life. Our work is centered on creating environments where women and girls can live free from harm, make informed choices, and build independent futures.
