Chhori’s Handicraft was established in 2013 with the aim of fostering employment opportunities for girls and women, providing a platform for showcasing their creativity and skills. Chhori’s handicraft has a wide range of ethical and sustainable handicraft products. It is an initiative to create job opportunity for girls and women who are exploited or at risk in different sectors. The main objective of this program is to provide them economic support and a safe working environment.

Reusable Pad

Chhori has been making reusable pads since June 2021, using four layers of fabric for durability and leak prevention. These pads feature falatin, waterproof, recycled cotton, and falatin layers, with a secure attachment for underwear. They offer environmental benefits by reducing solid/plastic waste and health benefits by avoiding toxins found in disposable pads. Economically, reusable pads are a long-term investment, saving money over time. In addition to these advantages, women who produce pads are earning a stable income from their hard work and skill.

Paper Jewelries:

Chhori’s Handicraft specializes in crafting paper jewelry from recycled materials such as calendars, books, brochures, and other paper sources. Through innovative design and sustainable practices, Chhori’s Handicraft transforms discarded paper into beautiful and eco-friendly jewelry pieces, contributing to environmental conservation and promoting recycling initiatives.

Mandala Candle

Mandala Candles are crafted using recycled paper sourced from calendars, brochures, and other paper materials. Our women artisans are having good source of income from the sale of these candles. The popularity of these unique creations not only contributes to environmental sustainability by repurposing waste paper but also empowers our women, demonstrating the value of creativity and helping in generating income.

T-Shirt Product

Chhori’s Handicraft specializes in creating t-shirts using vintage sarees and fabric. Before making these product, the sarees and fabric are thoroughly washed, cleaned, and sanitized to ensure quality and hygiene. These upcycled t-shirts are now available in the market at affordable prices, offering customers an environmentally friendly and socially responsible option. this initiative has significantly empowered our women, providing them with opportunities to earn a substantial income while contributing to sustainable practices and economic growth within our community.
